Institute of Actuaries in India (IAI) shall be conducting the Actuarial Common Entrance Test (ACET) on March 27th, 2021. ACET is required for a student to apply for membership to IAI, which is the starting path to becoming an actuary.

An actuary is a business professional who analyzes the financial consequences of risk. Actuaries use mathematics, statistics, and financial theory to study uncertain future events, especially those of concern to insurance and pension programs.

ACET is conducted two to three times in a year by IAI. The candidate should have written or passed his/her Class XII to be eligible for writing ACET. Thus, ACET shall be applicable to all candidates who have completed their Class 12 in 2020. Students appearing in their Class 12 board exams in 2021 will need to take ACET to be held in Oct/Nov later this year.
